Janet Hughes – National Sales Manager.  Denplan Ltd, Practice Plan for Vets & Animal Health Care Ltd.

Having qualified as a Dental Nurse after leaving school I missed out on the ‘gap year’ so decided to take it a little later than usual....feeling the need to travel a bit  I left employment and moved to Israel to work on a farm growing all types of fruit and vegetables ironically for the UK market.  After enjoying the sunshine for some time,  I returned home and attended Uni as a mature student to study Social Sciences.  Being interested in people’s behaviour and their dental health I applied for a job at Denplan as a Regional Consultant and have worked in different departments of Denplan for the past 22 years.  Always looking to develop my business and product knowledge I qualified as a Coach with the OU, gained my CIM from the Institute of Management and attended numerous courses on Personal Development and Business Growth.  Denplan moved into the Veterinary market in 2007 with the launch of Pet Health Plans and built up an extended network of Veterinary practices across the country.  Then in 2014 Denplan acquired Practice Plan for Vets and in 2015  Animal Health Care ltd subsequently growing our membership to over 1500 Veterinary Practices across the UK.  I manage a large Business Development Team and Training Team who are dedicated to providing the best customer service to all those 1500 members and helping each one grow and develop their business to suit their own needs and the needs of their clients.   I am a regular guest speaker at many events and have had the privilege to have spoken at all the VPMA/SPVS joint events on health plans and their development.

Now together with Janie Clare of Rutland Vets I am embarking on bringing the North West & North Wales VPMA Members together to discuss important issues that affect us all and hopefully have some fun at the same time.
