Michelle Murphy

Michelle is Practice Manager for Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals and Bridge Vets in Aberdeen.

Michelle spent 12 years in small animal practice as a RVN before accepting the role of Practice Manager with Bridge Vets in 2013. These first four years have been challenging but very rewarding and full of excitement.

With the support of an amazing Veterinary team,  Michelle has had the opportunity to open and develop two 1st opinion practices, and Aberdeen's first referral centre - Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals. All three sites have recently been awarded either the RCVS general practice or Hospital accreditations.

Michelle completed a Certificate in Veterinary Business Management through Liverpool University which she found very valuable and in 2016  alongside her AVR colleagues accepted Pet Plans UK  Veterinary Practice of the Year award 2016.

Outside work, Michelle spends much of her time with her family, including her two young daughters and the most recent addition, Puzzle the Standard Poodle.

She is also looking forward to working with Stephanie and the VPMA to create a friendly supportive network of Practice managers in the North East of Scotland, which she feels should benefit all Practices and Managers.

Michelle can be contacted on 07841 417610

Stephanie Simpson RVN

stephanie simpson

Stephanie's career in the veterinary profession started as a trainee nurse back in 2002. After working for several years as an RVN, she made the transition into practice management in 2014 and is currently Assistant Practice Manager for Aberdeen Veterinary Referrals.

She has found moving from a combined first opinion and referral practice to a brand new stand-alone referral practice to be an exciting and rewarding adventure and looks forward to providing continued service to the practices and patients of the North East.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her slightly broken Border Collie, Charlie.

She is excited about her new role as Regional Organiser for the VPMA and can’t wait to arrange her first meeting for 2017.

Stephanie can be contacted on 07900 923398.
